Bye bye scale.

So again posting this late. Story of my life.

Meant to post this on aug 16th. Im trying clean eating, wking out and no weighing for one month.

Week one cleaner eating...bad idea pre period! I ate healthy followed by junk & binge emotional eating. On a positive note, I got sick a week later(not the pos note), had to go to drs and made me weigh. Down last 2 lbs of vaca weight.

One year of blogging!!!

Well, this post is coming later than planned. Been a bit under the weather this week.

Although I didnt stay to my intial goal of blogging each day or even each week, I still blogged for a year!

What Ive  learned:
Im very loved. Im blessed. Life is rough. Marriage is rough. Im a tough gal. I used to laugh more. Life isnt fair. Trials, tribulations and love are my theme for this past year. I greatly dislike drama. I dont communicate as well as I thought I did. My friends and family are amazing, wouldnt change for the world. I miss the ocean, warmer weather and culture. I luv food! I have control issues. I have a hubby who loves me to the moon and back. Im blessed.

Hopes for year two of blogging:
Laugh more. be more carefree. Dance more -- I miss dancing. Appreciate what I have more. Vacation more (ignoring all dirty looks). Be still more. Take more pictures. Simplify. Love lots.

Crazy nurses

Hello all! So just got done with a 6 day work week. Been a lil slower tgan had been in awhile -- whih I am thankful for with a bum knee and im sure our providers appreciated since we like to abuse them at night sometimes.

But slower times leads to goofy nurses while stocking. It also leads to us getting the munchies at night lol. Lets just say started all shifts except for yest, with workout and green "sludge" -- per coworkers titling -- and ended each shift with half a bag of lg bag of chips, spicy chicken sandwiches and cheeseburgers!

Thankfully now Im in ulysses for ten days. Time for some r & r and bk to better food choices.

Below are a few fun pics while stocking, outdates and recycling of products lol.

Almost one year of blogging!

Wow on the 21st of this week, it will be one year since I have been blogging! Crazy!

I just re-read part of the original post, and had said that I started blogging 3 weeks before my bday, guess I couldn't count that night, it was 6 weeks prior to my 30th bday! :)

Well, here we are again, nearly 6 weeks from my bday...wow how fast a year has gone by.  And WOW, how much this year has been diff than I orginally thought it would be -- good and bad.

So, these next six weeks hopefully, I'll actually take the time more to blog than I ahve this summer. I have slacked a bit. :)

I started this blog hoping to capture so much of this year, mostly thinking it would be full of good. Don't get me wrong, there has been alot of good...but def alot of life lessons.

So here is to six more weeks of blogging until I'm 31...yikes where did 31 years go! :)

Taylor Summer Vacation 2013

After I got back from Cali, I was in Ulysses for a week and then worked in Jetmore for 5 nights. The last morning I got off, I slept for five hours and met Ben at the airport in Garden and left for Vacay! :)

Ben and I went to Scottsdale, AZ Wed through Sat. Then on Sat am, drove to so Cali, stayed in Ontario and went to a good friend's wedding. We stayed in Ontario until Tuesday.

In AZ, we swam, ate, I got a massage, worked out and just relaxed. In CA, we ate, went to Reba DeHoog's wedding where we danced and had an amazing time with friends! We also went to the beach, ate lots of in-n-out and laid out by the pool.

It was REALLY nice to get away together. Life has been pretty bananas this year. It seemed just as we were starting to relax, we had to come back to reality.

I am extremely thankful for the life that I have and the opportunities I have in life.  I've had a great summer, with lots of wonderful memories to cherish forever.  Sad, that it is coming to an end. :( Perhaps time to move to warmer climate!

Homeward bound

For the trip home, mom and I picked up a straggler on the side of the road -- Steph! :) She drove out with us, and stayed a few days with me in KS! :)

Steph and I relaxed ALOT and didn't do much, but we "storm chased" for a little bit. Below are some pics of us out at the airport in Ulysses, storm chasing.  It was fun to see the storms in the distance and to get a bunch of rain.

It is rare that I get alonetime with Steph. It was really nice to catch up and to veg together, been a long time!

Once back to KS, I was off work for a week, then worked in Jetmore for five nights and then Ben and I headed out on an adventure! :)

Glen Ivy

The Monday after the wedding, we went to Glen Ivy Hot Springs. It was AMAZING!!!

We got sun, massage, water and relaxation -- all needed greatly!

There is a "mud bath" area (not sure of exact name), but you basically roll around in the mud bath like pigs do, get out, let the mud dry and shower off. Your skin feels SOOO good aftewards.  Nani didn't get as "muddy" as mom & I, but she seemed to still enjoy it.

I am blessed to see Nani & papa mult times a year usually, but this trip was extra special. It was alot of fun spending time with just mom & nani.  It def is a trip that I will cherish forever.

Below are a few pics of Glen Ivy.

Alana & Brett wedding!!!

Finally!!! The wedding!

I have known alana for bought 8 years now. She started as a student and softball player of mine from my first year of teaching. We had a close relationship from the beginning. One of a coach/teacher/mentorship that quickly turned into a sisterly relationship and now a life long friendship.

When I became a teacher, my prayer was that I would make a lifelong impact on the lives of students, that I would be an example and learn from them as much if not more than they do from me.

My prayer def came true. I learned so many life lessons during my time as a teacher. And I am blessed to have many of these people still in my life today.

Alana and brett...these two crazy kids started their adventure in life together during my first year of teaching. It was fun and exciting to watch their love turn from young love into a lifetime love.

I had the honor of being a part of their wedding. Alana & Brett, thanks for including me on ur big day!  It has been an honor to be a part of ur guys' life. I hope and pray that our relationship only continues to grow!

I dont have alot of pics from the wedding, cuz my camera on my phone is all scratches up lol. But below ull find a few pics of the rehearsal night of heather and I and the day of the wedding of me and the bride.

Below ull see the pic of me and alex. She was the instructor for the 30 mins of torture! =). Ex used to be a student and softball player of mine. Its fun seeing life come full circle.

The next few days I was with friends for various reasons and mom and nani visited with old friends and co-workers.
