Glen Ivy

The Monday after the wedding, we went to Glen Ivy Hot Springs. It was AMAZING!!! 

We got sun, massage, water and relaxation -- all needed greatly! 

There is a "mud bath" area (not sure of exact name), but you basically roll around in the mud bath like pigs do, get out, let the mud dry and shower off. Your skin feels SOOO good aftewards.  Nani didn't get as "muddy" as mom & I, but she seemed to still enjoy it.

I am blessed to see Nani & papa mult times a year usually, but this trip was extra special. It was alot of fun spending time with just mom & nani.  It def is a trip that I will cherish forever.

Alana & Brett wedding!!!

Finally!!! The wedding! 

I have known alana for bought 8 years now. She started as a student and softball player of mine from my first year of teaching. We had a close relationship from the beginning. One of a coach/teacher/mentorship that quickly turned into a sisterly relationship and now a life long friendship. 

When I became a teacher, my prayer was that I would make a lifelong impact on the lives of students, that I would be an example and learn from them as much if not more than they do from me. 

My prayer def came true. I learned so many life lessons during my time as a teacher. And I am blessed to have many of these people still in my life today. 

Alana and brett...these two crazy kids started their adventure in life together during my first year of teaching. It was fun and exciting to watch their love turn from young love into a lifetime love. 

I had the honor of being a part of their wedding. Alana & Brett, thanks for including me on ur big day!  It has been an honor to be a part of ur guys' life. I hope and pray that our relationship only continues to grow!

Cali road trip 2013 part 1

Well im a lil late getting this done nut better late than never. Right?!?  

Well I worked a bunch with few days off in between. After last set of four days, I "napped" for few hrs, then went to ulysses. Did laundry and set out next dia for nm. I left alot later than originally planned -- not cuz of me this time lol -- but finally got on the road, picked mom up in nm, ate supper at good ole chipotle with moretti fam and headed to gallup, nm. Mom and I stayed night there cuz weather was kinda poopy. Next am headed to cali!!  

We landed in colton at lisa & tana's casa bout 6pm. Mom and I cooked and we visited, ate and drank a bit. 

The next day (wed) was full of pre wedding last minute erands (diff post to come) and picking up nani from airport.  Before we grabbed nani from the airport I woke up at an unGodly hr and headed to 0630 boot camp! Below ull see the pic of me and alex. She was the instructor for the 30 mins of torture! =). Ex used to be a student and softball player of mine. Its fun seeing life come full circle.

After boot camp last min wed shopping then we grabbed nani, checked into hotel, and laid by the pool. After few hrs we toom mom to joeys bbq (her fav) in chino and pigged out!!! Below ull see pics of nan in her way cute blue leopard/snake skin (not exactly sure of pattern)! I luved it! 

The next few days I was with friends for various reasons and mom and nani visited with old friends and co-workers. 

 

Whats new in the Taylor world...

Today has been catching up on lots of blogging...mostly while riding the bike at the gym! :)  

My ankle is giving me a bit of trouble, so no "wogging" for a bit, just biking.  So, today I rode the bike for 1 hr to make up for a few dias of no working out and to reach a decent calorie burn.

The Taylor World has been bananas as usual for us this time of the year.

• Ben is busy "farming" away, as usual. He is getting more used to the demands of the new job, and they now have a pretty full staff, so they are becoming more "effecient" I gues you could say. 
• Mom and dad Taylor just came to see us...well more Ben. I worked the whole time they were here, but they came up to see me with Ben for supper one night in jetmore & that was fun.  They got to see my lil apartment and where I work. 
• The Cimarron house is OFFICIALLY RENTED!!! And all of our JUNK is out of there!  Yeah, we are officially (minus junk in the shed) all moved to Ulysses. 
• MOm & Dad O'Leary, came to see us last week for a few days and we had a blast.
• Four more days of work (starting tom), then a day of rest and heading to so cal -- yeah for beach, fam & friend time!
• Then Stephanie gets to come bk to KS with me for a quick weekend!
• And then I get to start my new schedule in August for work! YEAHH!!!  I get to see Ben more & hopefully go on a lil vaca with him in Aug.

I have officially been working out for almost 6 weeks now...only lost a few pounds, but down a few inches, which is nice.  And I'm noticing that working out is getting alot easier, and I "crave" it if I skip a workout.

Parental visit

Mom and dad came bk from denver with us. Lol

That was a long ride -- note dad has bladder size of a pea and falls asleep as a passenger! =) 

Poor mom and dad were stuck helping me move rest of our junk from cimarron, but ben & I r so thankful that they were there to help. 

They got to enjoy the fourth at liz & ryans while I wked. The boys played with a ton of fireworks and had a ball. Then sunday whole fam came to Ulysses for a bbq and cards! 

Short and busy visit but good one! 

Denver girls trip

Two weekends ago Luz, Alana, Bertha (heather) and I set out on a trip to get awsy to Denver area!

We hit up two rockies vs. sf giants games --rockies dominated by the way -- ate out alot, worked out alot, went to Golden co a few times (one my fav places), went to the coors brwery, and much more. 

Overall great trip!  I think i was a bit too exhausted going into the trip...which might of made me a bit cranky -- my friends would never admit so lol. But had a good time. 

Fav part golden as usual and riding the "bike fairies" after the games!!!

Oh and the dolled up pic if me is alana doing my makeup and lashes! 

Circle of life

Hello again. Been awhile. U set out to do a task and think oh blogging no deal, Ill have time to do it. Lol yah right!  

So today Im attempting to play a bit of catch up if I can, internets being a bit dumb. 

So, Ive been an Rn for one full year now! Wow! Although its been only a year, this job continually reminds u how fragile life is. 

I feel like this blog has been about me having a "heavy heart" and bout lots of thankfulness...guess that is where Im at in life this year. 

Right at this exact moment, I have a heavy and happy heart. Im very thankful for the gift of life, family, friends and love!  

Ten years ago today we laid nana bea to rest...cant believe how quickly ten years goes by!  

Then last night another one of God's special angels was called home. 

And today find out a close friend is expecting!  

The circle of life continually amazes me. 

My heart is happy for the new gift of life, for the chance to go home in 5 days and for the wedding soon approaching. 

Heavy heart for a close friends loss and for other struggles with those around me. 

Although I never lived near nana bea, she made an amazing impression on my life and I miss her dearly! 

To my dear friend whose life was just flipped upside down...cherish the love and memories u were blessed with, those will always be with u!  We all love u and r here for u! 

Prayer request please for lots of people around me! Heres to hoping next four nights fly by!
