So, the new year is 4 days in, and I have yet to have posted....been a crazy couple of weeks!
I worked Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, then woke up from sleeping on the 26th around 2pm and was horribly sick. Ben ended up taking me to the ER where I work and I was admitted for 3 days. I ended up having some kind of a infection bug in my gut.
Mom, dad, liz and Ryan all flew in on the 28th, saw them at the hospital for a few mins, and then got discharged on the afternoon on the 29th. Then, the weekend was filled with lots of sleeping and recooping on the couch at mi casa and at Liz's casa, fam dinner on the 31st, dad flying out early on the 1st and then spending the last few days recooping so that I could return to work tonight!
Needless to say, the last week has just flown by, and I don't remember too much of some of it. I am feeling much better now, and got amazing care from the people that I work with. I am extremely thankful for my job and the people that I work with. Now, I am just watching my diet a little more closely til I feel 100%.
Mom left today...the trip went by too quickly since I was sick for most of it, but glad that I got some quality time just hanging out with her since I was sick. Hopefully next trip no one will be sick.
I know that the new year is usually full of resolutions, things we wanna to better, lose weight, habits to break etc...instead, I want to share wishes and hopes that I have for 2013.
In 2013, I hope that Ben and I are able to spend more time with both sides of our families, I hope I stay diligant with blogging, I hope that Ben and I take more vacations and enjoy more quality time together (since I have a job now), and move closer towards making our dream of having a family a reality.
***Sorry for not letting people know that I was in the hospital, I was so out of it for the three days that I was in here, we didn't wanna upset people during the holiday season, and Ben was alone with me trying to manage helping w/my care, drs, work and phone calls between our parents. ***
