Last week I ventured to north carolina to meet baby etta and visit with her parents and sil katie.
It was a nice & relaxed visit. Miss etta is cute as can be, with fun round lil cheeks and Im pretty sure what will become red hair.
We got to relax around the house, do lil shopping, eat fam dinners, cuddle with miss etta and visit with one anothers.
Today is first day bk to gym since early last week, and since bk from vaca.
Today, I am thankful for opportunities to travel and see fam & friends. Im also thankful for the common sense to choose my battles and bite my tongue.
I was greatly reminded of that today when a lil jab of a comment nearly ruined my day. A small lil snarky comment "must be nice to travel while the rest of us work..." I walked away, took deep breath, and reminded myself to ignore her, I do work full time and lots of over time to boot. I work hard for what I have, and never take it for granted.
I wanted to snap back and remind her of all the little blessings she has at hm that I would luv to have, but was proud bit my tongue.
Ill go to bed tonight proud with what I did and didnt say.
